Our Mission Nsitu, Inc. will help the small business owner accomplish his or her mission and goals in the most cost efficient means possible, by providing insight, service, software and equipment to meet their immediate and ongoing technology needs. Our Goals Nsitu will accomplish this mission by: Understanding the small business owner’s specific needs and providing a choice of solutions in the context of their situation. Working with the small business owner, providing training where necessary, to ensure that the technology solutions they have or are provided are a natural fit with his or her organization’s needs and abilities. Providing insight through research and consultation into how technology solutions can help the small business owner increase and maintain relevancy in his or her marketplace. Coordinating with the small business owner to ensure that in providing technology solutions there is minimal interruption in their ongoing business activities. Our Name Nsitu. Pronounced N-sī-tū, is a shortened form of "in situ" which is a Latin phrase used broadly in scientific and technology circles. In archeology, in situ refers to an artifact that has not been moved from its original place – It is in the context of its surroundings. In biology, in situ means that a living organism is in its natural place or habitat. In chemistry, in situ means "in the reaction mixture," that makes it relevant to the outcome of the chemical reaction. In computer science an in situ operation is one that occurs without interrupting the normal state of a system. By dropping the “i” and combining the rest of the phrase into the “word” Nsitu, we have generated a unique trade-marketable name that lets us convey the goals of Nsitu’s Company Mission Statement.
